The Elephant Rope

As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.

He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”

The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.
Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?

Failure is part of learning; we should never give up the struggle in life.

Think Before You Judge

Think Before You Judge

We would see a wonderful story today which will change the way we think and judge people. This may change the way you judge others. Read with attention.

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes & went directly to the surgery block.
He found the boy’s father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor.
On seeing him, the dad yelled: “Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t you have any sense of responsibility?”

The doctor smiled & said: “I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital & I came as fast as I could after receiving the call…… And now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work”

“Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will you do??” said the father angrily.

The doctor smiled again & replied: “I will say what Job said in the Holy Book “From dust we came & to dust we return, blessed be the name of God”. Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go & intercede for your son, we will do our best by God’s grace”

“Giving advises when we’re not concerned is so easy” Murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy, “Thank goodness!, your son is saved!” And without waiting for the father’s reply he carried on his way running. “If you have any questions, ask the nurse!!”

“Why is he so arrogant? He couldn’t wait some minutes so that I ask about my son’s state” Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: “His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was at the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery. And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish his son’s burial.”

MORAL : Never judge anyone….. because you never know how their life is & what they’re going through”

Value Of Your life

Hello Readers..

Many a times we keep on evaluating stuffs and measure its value. But have we ever thought about evaluating our own value ?  Have we ever gave ourselves a time to introspect from this busy schedule ?  Have we ever thought to sit aside leaving the race of money and thinking about our own life value ?
Let us try to do it today...!!

So how do we value our life or how do we value ourself ?? What would be the measuring units ?? Would it be RUPEE or a DOLLAR or a POUND  ??

I recon it should be moments and smiles...!!

Being honest to yourself, give yourself a time of 10 minutes in a day and recollect the valuable moments/time and smiles you gave to the people of your surrounding. It may be your relatives, friends, parents, spouse or a stranger too. Now get 1 count/point of the same. I suppose the points would not exceed more than 3. We always keep expecting good things, good words, appreciation and fame from others but have we give out anything to people around us?
Does it alarm you ?   Don't you feel responsible for this?  Will you feel proud of yourself ?
The answer is NO....!!!

Let us today try to spread smiles, motivate each other and value each other...

I BET THE POINTS FOR VALUE OF OWN LIFE WOULD INCREASE WITH INCREASE IN VALUE & RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER...!!!
So don't forget to give yourself 10 minutes and evaluate value of your life...

I wish you all the best...!!
