Smart Phones - Are They Really Smart ?

In this era of technology and continuous upgrading world, we are all surrounded with electronic gadgets. Day in and day out we use various technologies to help us to save our time and energy.  But give a thought are we doing the same thing for which smart phones are invented ?  In fact we waste our time in downloading stuff that would waste more time. There are lakhs apps available today. Some of them for business purpose, some for music, some for social networking, some for fun and some for gaming.

Now a days, kids also have smart phones which is killing their energy rather than utilizing it for studying , playing and learning new things. It has become a symbol intelligence but parents doesn't understand it is negative impact on their kids. These phones keeps their kids indoor and never let them play under open sky. Even the radiations are very harmful for kids.

I remember those days when vacations were full of enjoyment with friends and cousins. Outdoor games, cycling and swimming were the best joyful activities for the day. A get-together with friends and a small outing gave a lot of pleasure.

Today we witness that youngsters don't have enough friends and the ones they have would either be on some social networking platform. They say it "social networking". But actually a time wasting activity which would not give them friends but a source of killing time and energy.

Another thing that harms are games. Every smart phone user have some games installed in their phones. Games were initially the pass-time activity but people not spare their special time on games. Starting from the age of a 5 year kid to a 50 year person be it a male or female, all have some or many game installed. Craze of games and apps have increased so much that now a days a newly launched games face server crashing issue due to heavy traffic to download.

The joy of sitting with family or friends or spending time with them has been a history now. They spend time with them but again on a social networking platform.

If this continues, our names would one day be replaced with phone numbers or there would a special app for every person by which he would be identified.

I think SMART PHONES are smart enough but we make ourselves  DUMB with its OVER USE..!!

Let me share with you about Steve Job's interview.

Jobs had three children with wife Laurene Powell: a boy, 23-year-old Reed, and girls Erin, 19, and Eve, 16.
His youngest girls, Erin and Eve, were about 12 and 15 when the iPad came out in 2010.
'Every evening Steve made a point of having dinner at the big long table in their kitchen, discussing books and history and a variety of things,' biographer Walter Isaacson, who wrote 'Steve Jobs,' told the Times.
'No one ever pulled out an iPad or computer. The kids did not seem addicted at all to devices.'

We must try to restrict our use of smart phones and let us try it by removing 1 unwanted or less used day every week and keep apps which are really necessary.
